About Northfields

The Northfields site is a former industrial estate covering some 21 acres in the London Borough of Brent. It is located off Beresford Avenue and is framed on two sides by the River Brent and Grand Union Canal. Northfields is within ten minutes’ walk of Alperton station on the Piccadilly line, and within five minutes’ walk of Stonebridge Park station, providing Bakerloo and London Overground services.

St George acquired the Northfields site on 3 April 2017. Since then we have been developing proposals for a mixed-use development, incorporating new homes, workspace, retail, restaurants and a community centre that are set within generous new public space to create a unique sense of place.

St George is a member of the Berkeley Group, London’s leading mixed-use developer and a FTSE 100 company. We regenerate brownfield land to create thriving new communities in attractive landscaped environments.

On 24 January 2018, St George submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Brent for the Northfields development following extensive public consultation since April 2017. The submission is a ‘hybrid application’, seeking detailed consent for the first, canalside phase of the development and outline approval for the rest of the site.

On 18 July 2018, Brent Council unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for the Northfields development.
